Don’t Know What I Would Do Without My Phone Case And Cell Case

Monday 30 June 2008 @ 11:26 pm

I do believe that my iPod came with an phone case. I don’t really remember that well or care since I never used it. Knowing me I most likely just discarded it when I threw the box away . I do really like my iPod though. I never have to buy an entire album again. There is no point to buying CD’s when I could just download them off line . I just listen to the same handful of songs over and over. I usually only like one or two songs from an artist so this works out really well so I don’t have to buy the entire album. They don’t make singles for all the songs I like so the iPod just lets me buy whatever songs I want and not waste any money on ones I don’t. The songs are only a dollar a piece so it isn’t like I will be spending a ton of money on a bunch of albums just for one song . My problem is the armband I’m supposed to attach to when I’m working out never does its job. The iPod is always falling off it once I’m running a mile on the treadmill. It’s sturdy and it’s in a holder so when it hits the ground there’s never any damage, but you never know, especially when you’re working out. I will have to take extra precautions in the .

Windscreen Wipers Noise And How To Avoid It

Monday 30 June 2008 @ 11:23 am

There’s nothing worse than squeaky Wiper Blades. How many times have you found yourself just continually flicking the single wipe switch, and that only when your visibility gets really bad? That’s extremely annoying and highly dangerous, but thankfully, you can take some simple actions to conquer the problem.

First of all, keep your whole windscreen clean. When you wash your car; don’t forget to lift the wiperblades off the windscreen and wash and rinse the area beneath them, even though this isn’t the bit you look through.
It’s important to keep the whole windscreen clean, because, when the screen is wet, the dirt particles become very mobile, and can get beneath the edge of the blade. This has several effects:-

Firstly, the particles between the screen and the blade cause uneven contact|friction between screen and blade. This causes the blade to vibrate, making noise. This problem is made worse if you have rubber Windscreen Wiper Blades, because they loose their flexibility with age and exposure to Ultra Violet Light, Ozone, many Screen Wash ingredients, and pollution. As the blade becomes stiffer it’s far more likely to jump and judder as it moves from clean to dirty glass.

Secondly, the dirt & grit particles abrade and cut the surface of the wiper blade right at the critical working edge. On rubber Wiper Blades this also increases the area for UV, Pollution, Ozone and solvents to attack the rubber, so accelerating the hardening process, which in turn makes the noise worse.

Thirdly, the dirt and grit particles settle on the non-working surfaces of the wiper blade. These particles harbour road grease & pollutants, which attack the rubber from the sides, causing more hardening and therefore more susceptibility to juddering and noise.
When the blade looses its flexibility and then is subjected to juddering, it tears at the mounting. As a result the rubber wears or tears at the critical mounting points, and the mounting points themselves become deformed and loose. This in turn leads to more judder, and so the cycle speeds up.

Flat Blade Wipers are much more resistant to this last problem, because they have a much more substantial fixing point between the blade and the Parts which hold it in place.

As usual, prevention is far better, easier and cheaper than a cure. A stitch in time really can save 9.

Careful cleaning of your Wiper Blades will markedly reduce the tendency to judder and make noise, and if you’re not lucky enough to have Silicone Wiper Blades, it will also markedly slow down the usual aging process of the rubber.

So, to sum up
To decrease and avoid the problem on existing Wiper Blades, keep them clean, and be prepared to replace them as soon as the rubber shows signs of hardening, porosity, cracking or tearing.

When you replace your Wiper Blades consider using Retrofit Flat Blade Wipers, because they hold the blade much more securely, so reducing the opportunity for vibration in the first place, and tearing in the second.

Better still, buy Silicone Wiper Blades. The silicone resin stays completely flexible throughout life, and provides smooth quiet operation for at least 3 times the life of even the best rubber Wiper Blades.

Best of all buy Silicone Flat Blade Wipers. They combine all the advantages of Silicone Wiper Blades with the looks & performance of Flat Blade Wipers.

Spy Camera Offers Many Options

Monday 30 June 2008 @ 11:20 am

Everyone has an endless choice of spy cams today. Whether you have to keep an eye on your employees or a burglar, the state-of-the-art equipment today makes it much simpler to achieve your goals.

If you’re a parent who wants to see how your nanny is doing with the kids, which is shown to be the most important reason for spy cameras, next only to cheating spouses, you need a nanny cam.

Spy cameras now come included in many different things, some so ingenious that you will won’t even know its there. This includes the classic teddy bear, books, baby wipes box, brick-a-bracs, piggy banks, and anything at all that you could place in a shelf. You can find DVD and VCR spy cameras, clock, fake cleaning products, light fixtures, picture frames, even smoke detectors, and other spy cam options to make your selection.

Another reason for the proliferation of spy cam options nowadays is the prevalence of cheating spouses. Such a wonder how a small camera now can be right in front of you, and you don’t even notice it. Such cameras can transmit either the audio or video, or sometimes both, to a personal computer or cell phone. And the spouse immediately has proof of the other’s unfaithfulness.

If you’re an employer, you can use spy cams depending on your needs, to see exactly what’s going on at the workplace. A spy cam installed in a clock can monitor what employees do at office hours when you’re not personally there.

As a homeowner who has to leave town for a period of time, you do not want to leave a hired babysitter or cleaning crew into to your house just like that. Spy cam choices let you safeguard both your children and valuables at home.

Often placed on the higher shelves to maximize the views of events, hidden spy cams can catch for you everything that happens in a room. Even the miniature camera options offer high resolution, and can transmit clear photographs to your PC, VCR, or cell phone.

A Few Myths About Hybrid Cars And Running Your Car On Water

Sunday 29 June 2008 @ 11:20 am

When a new technology (like the one to run your car on water) is introduced it’s quite normal that many are skeptic about it. Many even formulate their own beliefs about it that adds to the confusion instead of education of the new technology.

This is also true when the idea of running car on water was introduced. The first reaction could have been that it was impossible. But experts have proven all skeptics and adversaries wrong. Because of the rising costs of fuel, many people have been encouraged and motivated to try the system. And many of them actually liked the result.

So for the people who are contemplating about converting their cars but are still hesitating because of what they’ve heard, perhaps it would be better if each myth is explained one by one.

1) Having it so you run your car on water is not a good idea. It could damage your car. On the contrary, most damage to car engines are brought about by unburned fuel. Using water will actually help clean the carbon produced by unburned gasoline. So every time you use your car, water in it is cleaning up your car. Water is actually flushing the car engine so it helps the car to perform smoother and cleaner. In short, this technology will actually steam clean your engine every time.

2) The technology to run your car on water will render the engine to be noisier. Again, the opposite is true. The engine becomes cleaner and it performs better so it will run with less noise instead. Knocking and pinging will be stopped so the engine is expected to run smoothly. The engine and your car will only be cleaner and less vibration will be felt.

3) If you use water in your car, it could heat up engine. What water actually does is it cools down the engine so the first statement is actually false. Drivers have used water to cool down their engines and it has lessened the amount of repairs their cars had needed in the past. So actually by running water in your car, you are not only saving money from fuel expenses but you save more since you will no longer need to install an expensive water injection system.

4) When you run your car on water, it will weaken the pick of your car. This entirely untrue. The technology will widen the torque of your car so it will actually enable your car to increase acceleration. Many environment concerned drivers even like it more because it makes their cars more efficient in burning fuel and it makes their cars less harmful to the atmosphere.

5) Your car cannot return to its prior state after installation. This is again untrue. The system is completely reversible and your car can go back as it was before you decided to try the technology. So if ever you are unsatisfied with how your car is performing after the installation you can easy uninstall the system and you’re back with what you had before.

If Your Looking to Save Money – Refurbished Hard Drives May Be The Answer

Sunday 29 June 2008 @ 11:04 am

Refurbished hard drives are a great way to do a lot of things with your computer without breaking the bank. When novice computer users think of what they might need, they may not think that they need an extra hard drive. When it comes to computers crashing, and computers becoming filled to capacity with storage, the only versatile solution is to purchase a new hard drive. But, by considering refurbished hard drives, you can get the extra space for a cheaper price. For those who still cannot see why you would need to have an extra hard drive, there are three legitimate reasons to purchase one.

Refurbished Hard Drives do a Fine Job of File Backup

If your computer crashes, and you do not have your files backed up, you will lose everything that you have. Ask anyone who has been through this and they will tell you it is not a pleasant experience. Refurbished hard drives allow you to back up your entire computer in an easy fashion, exactly the same way a brand new drive, but at a lesser cost. By simply plugging the hard drive in (or installing in your machine if it is an internal refurbished hard drive, you can copy all of your files over to the hard drive. By copying all your files, you are essentially placing your files in two separate places. If and when one of the drives fails, you will still have a second copy, therefore you do not actually lose any of your files.

Hard Drives Offer Additional Storage

If you are close to maxing out your computer’s hard drive capacity, looking into refurbished hard drives is a legitimate way to expand your computer’s storage. When you install the drive, it acts just as a normal drive on your computer. You can save any file to the hard drive, meaning that you will not take up any more space on your machine’s main drive. Being able to move and save files to the hard drive will give you all of the extra space you need for your computer. The larger hard drives mean that you could easily double, triple, or quadruple the space that you have presently have on your computer. Even if you are not maxing out your current hard drive, an extra hard drive is a great way to have a special area for your larger files (such as movies) so that they are not taking up all of the space on your computer that you use for everyday tasks.

Transporting Files Works Like a Charm With Refurbished Hard Drives

Have you ever wanted to move large files to another computer? Have you ever tried to e-mail these files, only to find out that the file is too large to send through e-mail? Refurbished hard drives do the trick very nicely without having to spend hundreds of dollars. You can move any size file that you need to in a more convenient way. Without a drive, you would need to burn the file(s) to a CD, or perhaps hook up an extra laptop to complete the task. If the drive you by is an internal drive, then you can simply place it in an enclosure you then you now have a small portable hard drive. The small external drive allows you to have one source for all of your large files to move, in a simple, convenient way.

Buying refurbished hard drives is something many cost conscious consumers as well as not, buy everyday. The extra drive may give you the additional space that you need to continue working with the same computer for years to come. Besides that, being able to back up your computer is crucial, especially for those with the important files, or for those who work from home. As always, consider what your options are. Look around a bit and you might be able to find what you’re looking for and save some money at the same time.
