In the beginning of the battle of the Internet versus copyright owners, there was file sharing. Napster was zapped from the face of the web for a time, then resurfaced with a different attitude. Then there were video sharing sites. That battle is just heating up. And now there are new concerns such as the TVU Player.

The TVUPlayer is a player that allows users to broadcast any television station for other TVUPlayer users to view. With it you can watch Television Stations that you can’t get from your satellite or cable provider. You can even watch TV Channels from other countries. If your favorite Television Networks are on a station you don’t get, there’s a chance that you can watch them with the TVUPlayer.

This is great news for TV lovers, but the verdict is still not out for TV Channels. On one hand, commercials and all are broadcast, meaning that advertisers get extra exposure that they won’t likely complain about. On the other hand, licenses to show Television series and sporting events are often good for certain regions only.
